| Self-Catering Holiday Cottage... |
Drumannon Cottage is the self-catering holiday cottage on the ground floor of the former hay barn; the barn was probably a communal barn when Bush Nook was a working farm more than 50 years ago.
The cottage has been restored to retain as many features of the original property as possible. It has one double bedroom which overlooks the garden to the rear of the property, a separate bathroom which offers visitors the best amenities possible with a bath (with integral shower) for those long hot soaks after a good days walking in Hadrian's Wall Country.
The lounge area is spacious, light and tastefully furnished and has a bed settee for occasional extra visitors or family occupancy. Accessed through the original barn door the entrance has views towards the Northumberland national park, there is a garden which is accessible through a doorway leading from the rear of the lounge area.
The kitchen (which is beamed) has been carefully thought out in order to provide visitors with everything they might need whilst staying for their holiday. It has got a dishwasher, washer, fridge, microwave, oven and separate hob. There is a dining area alongside the kitchen which is equipped with a good sized table and chairs.
There is a 'Welcome Pack' to greet you on your arrival which contains basic initial needs for your first breakfast. As part of the package all bedding, towels and tea towels are included as are lighting and heating.
Drumannon Cottage has its own off road parking area at the rear beside the good sized garden, where you can enjoy the views over the open countryside which surrounds Bush Nook.
There is a small shop/post office in the village of Gilsland a convenience filling station on the A69 at Low Row, the nearest supermarket shopping is about ten minutes drive away in either Haltwhistle or Brampton. |
