We are located just off the A69 between Carlisle and Newcastle in the North Pennines.
The house is very easy to get to, as it is only about two minutes off the A69, halfway between the towns of Brampton and Haltwhistle.
If you turn off the A69, at the sign (signposted 'Birdoswald', 'Spadeadam' & 'Gilsland') we are about half a mile (800 metres) down the hill on the right, approximately 200 yards (175 metres) past the wetlands, which are on your left.
The A69 is the most Northerly East/West trunk road in England and is easily accessed from the M6/A7 to the West, or from the A1 to the East.

"After a hard days walking this was just what the doctor ordered. Malcolm and Jenny were more than welcoming and as it was getting late even picked me up from Gilsland as its about a miloe outside the village. The room was very comfy with digital TV and fantastic en-suite. The room was away from the main house to ensure privacy for both parties. Breakfast was great and even included a couple of irish twists."
