We believe that the food you eat during your stay should enhance your overall experience of the area. Many guests return to Bush Nook to enjoy the food experience that has become an integral part of what makes Bush Nook a special place to stay. We specialise in traditional English home cooked food and support many local suppliers of produce for all meals.

The inclusive breakfast provides a wide choice ranging from a full English cooked breakfast with locally produced eggs, Cumberland sausage and black pudding, as well as smoked haddock or kipper in season or a continental breakfast. Home made preserves and bread are usually available.

Breakfast is served in the dining room between 8.30am and 9.00am. It is possible that these times may vary a little during peak periods.

We have a food policy of "good food-well cooked". Local lamb, beef and a superb range of local cheeses are amongst our specialities, as well as local seasonal favourites such as wild salmon & venison. Two, three or four course meals are available with a vegetarian option (by prior arrangement), inclusive of fresh ground coffee or herbal or fruit tea together with a hand made chocolate.

Dinner is served at 7.00pm in our licensed guest areas where we offer a comprehensive range of wines spirits, local ales and soft drinks. Dinners must be booked in advance. With advance notice we will do our utmost to meet any special dietary needs.
