Rest, Relax, Recuperate...

The surrounding area around Bush Nook is rich in history and natural unspoilt beauty.
There are lots of opportunities to take in the history of the sometimes rugged, sometimes tranquil, yet constantly changing scenery.
This is a great area for exploring the most Northern borders of the mighty Roman Empire along the Hadrian's Wall World Heritage site.
|
You can now walk the entire route of the Wall along the new Hadrian's Wall Heritage Trail.
We are located on the Northern slopes of the Pennines and there are spectacular panoramic views further up the hill where you can see over to the Solway Firth. You can almost reach out to touch the Scottish borders.
The Eden Valley is also just a few minutes drive away with superb fishing and quiet, easy walks by the river. |
 |
 |
The historic border city of Carlisle with its Castle, Cathedral and Tullie House (Border Reivers) Museum, as well as its excellent shopping and restaurants, is also well worth a visit.
Or perhaps watersports such as dinghy sailing, canoeing, rowing and windsurfing are your thing? If so, these are all available locally at Talkin Tarn Country Park. Fishing is also allowed at the tarn.
Whatever your taste, there is sure to be something of interest nearby.
|
Paul & Judith will be delighted to help you plan a touring itinerary to help you make the most of your stay.
They can also provide scrumptious pack lunches or picnic hampers to add to a day's enjoyment! |
