Bush Nook operates under English Law and subscribes to a common code of practice applicable to the UK hospitality industry as recommended by ‘Visit Britain’ on behalf of the UK travel & tourism industry
Reservations A reservation will not be deemed to have been made until a (non refundable) deposit (and/or details of a credit card/debit card) has been received by us. Where time permits a confirmation receipt will be sent to you.
Arrival and Departure - please arrive whenever possible between 4 pm and 6 pm. If you wish to arrive outside of this time please let us know.
Departure - we ask that rooms are normally vacated by 10 am on your last day (Sundays 10.30 am) so that we can have time to make the rooms ready for new guests arriving.
Deposits Unless otherwise agreed, deposits should be received by us within 7 days of making your reservation. We reserve the right to release rooms if no deposit is received within that period.
Minimum Deposits Please note the minimum deposit is £10 per person per night. Please see payment methods below:
Payment of your Account We accept cash in Sterling or €uros, sterling travellers cheques and sterling international money orders. With the exception of American Express (Amex) we accept ALL major credit and debit cards. Credit card payments incur a charge of 2% on the account balance with a minimum charge of £2.00. Cheques are acceptable subject to presentation of a valid cheque guarantee card and should be made payable to ’Bush Nook’.
Cancellation of Booking We require a minimum of 72 hours notice of cancellation. Our cancellation policy is based on the English Law of contract and the normal legal practise within the UK tourism & Hotel industry, whereby proprietors of a hotel or guest house have the right in law to claim or be reimbursed for any loss resulting from cancellation or no show. This is applied in the event that we are unable to re-let the relevant accommodation in the time available. In such circumstances, we reserve the right to recover all of the overall costs concerned, whether contracted for verbally or in writing. With reasonable notice we will do all that we can to re-let the room and in the event that the accommodation was able to be re-let we would make a refund - less an administration fee. If you are concerned about cancellation you are advised to take out travel insurance In the unlikely event that a booking has to be cancelled by us we will refund all monies paid and do our utmost to find you alternative quality accommodation in the area.
Occupancy Being a traditional farmhouse, our bedrooms are cosy & comfortable but are not large. Guest bedrooms provide accommodation for one or two persons only. For guests to relax we provide a small reading lounge as well as a conservatory/garden room. Children We regret that we are not able to provide a reduction in room rates for children and we do not have a "family room". Where practical children will be allocated a room next to the parent/guardian which will be charged at the Standard room rates at all times. Depending on room availability we may permit the use of a travel cot for very young children.
Single Occupancy In the event that one of our single rooms is not available, single occupancy of a double or twin room may be offered subject to availability. These will be charged at the single room rate plus a single occupancy supplement at our discretion.
Special Diets We usually can accommodate special diets with a little help from you. Advance notice is required so that we can make any preparations. Prescription foodstuffs such as gluten free bread should be notified in advance. We do not normally make any additional charges for special dietary needs, but reserve the right to make additional charges for additional costs incurred.
Evening Meals Evening dinners must be booked in advance when any special dietary needs should be notified.
PLEASE NOTE - Evening dinners are not served every day of the week. Please check with us which days we do not cook when we will be pleased to either book a table locally or provide a selection of local eating places.
No Smoking In consideration to all of our guests and to comply with the law, Bush Nook is totally non smoking.
Any acceptance of a booking for accommodation is done so with this condition and forms part of a contract. If this is abused in any way we reserve the right to ask the guest to leave immediately and we further reserve the right to recover all costs incurred in the cleaning of rooms, soft furnishings, fabrics etc to due to any smoke damage howsoever caused.
